Sell my SORN car
A car on SORN cannot be driven on the road, which rules out most buyers. We collect it from where it sits, so there is no need to tax it, insure it or get it through an MOT first.
- Older cars welcome
- Free UK collection
- Nothing taken off
- Paid the same day

Sell my SORN car: FAQs
Do I need to cancel the SORN before selling?
No. A SORN stays with the car. Once it is sold you tell the DVLA online, using the V5C, that you are no longer the keeper.
Will a car that has stood for years still be worth something?
Often, yes, especially if it is complete and has its history. Rust, rodent damage and seized brakes all affect the price, so tell us what you can see.
What paperwork should I find?
The V5C logbook, all keys, old MOT certificates and any service receipts. Old paperwork helps buyers trust the mileage.
